(Vlog) May 4  To Norfolk and Back Pt 3 - FCBD, Traffic and SAF

This really was a roller coaster of emotions. FCBD was a blast, it always is. It’s just a day of celebrating and loving comics. Men, women, children, toddlers, it’s open for everyone to just be cool to each other. 

Such a great start to my day then my own personal hell. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it forever, i hate driving and fuck traffic. I had enough fun at SAF that it compensated for my hellish day, a little bit. 

Remember the books I showed? I may buy and love ‘adult’ things (and very adult things - no shame!) but I appreciate all ages media, and that they’re positive influences for their audiences.

(Vlog) May 3 - To Norfolk and Back pt 2

Edit:

this is virtually everything I filmed this day. All I did was clean and run around my apartment. I woke up, ate canned pears and then got hunger cramps, which is lame. I was reminded how bad I am at cleaning and time management, but really, most of my time was spent cleaning. Seeing Iron Man made my day, and it has made the Internet not a minefield of spoilers to avoid, but it hasn’t been that bad. I haven’t seen any gifsets on tumblr even, which is amazing because I swear by Saturday after The Avengers the Hulk-Loki gif was everywhere. (Well, I did see a jokey Iron Man armor strip tease, it’s a beautiful thing that’s been removed from the internet)

One last day and it’s actually fun, and the best stuff I think I got. The stuff where I was the happiest at least. 

I have a job interview in 2 hours, no time to write whatever or annotate anything. I’ll do all that fun stuff later.

I just wanted to finish the page and it’s done.Paper Towns is the first John Green book I ever read after getting into the Vlogbrother/Nerdfighter community and I have had no regrets over the past year. I like it more than his newest book, to be honest. I liked The Fault in Our Stars but not as much as I had enjoyed Paper Towns. If you want incredibly well written, intelligent  young adult literature to read check out John Green. People aren’t perfect and how his characters are flawed make them that much more interesting to read about. -Click through for a warm up sketch
