Its a huge double standard

Powergirl’s breasts make so little logical sense to me in that illustration, that aside, sexism double standard in comics is terrible. I’m not a slasher, by far, but if to guys seem to have a more-than-bros interest in in each other, why not explore it in canon, or let fans enjoy it. It’s like when I heard that Poison Ivy was paired with Harley Quinn, doesn’t make much sense to me, but why not like fans have their pleasure with that idea. Is it ever canon? Booster Gold and Blue Beetle isn’t canon, but there’s a big fan following for it, it doesn’t hurt the characters. Hell, I started reading A Booster Gold comic to see how the characters act together, that reading is a pretty simple one to make.

If you really want to have fun with comics go through with with a feminist reading, a queer reading and a racial reading. Using literary analysis techniques on comics, now that would blow your mind if you considered how simply anybody could be read as being gay. Freudian analysis is pretty fun too. Everything is sex and about the character’s mothers. Hell, superdickery.com has done that to a more juvenile extent already.
